Many years ago, when I was still a pre-teen, we lived in an apartment complex that was intended for students, and Mom wasn’t a student. And, we had a Weimaraner (not a small dog), her pups, and we got adopted by a pregnant, semi-feral tabby. AND we weren’t supposed to have pets, lacking the money for a pet deposit. So it was important for us to keep a low profile.
Well, the momma cat had her babies in the apartment. And they were rascals. And they were all climbers. And in spite of our best efforts, they liked to be outside with momma.
Suffice it to say, our menagerie was kind of an open secret. And one day, the most daring of the kittens, Gopa, sauntered into the management office, and walked right up the pant leg of the Manager.
I guess she had a sense of humor, because we weren’t kicked out.
(All pups, momma cat, and kittens were successfully homed.)
